On leaving school Michaela originally trained as a Chef and a Food and Beverage Manager at catering college; good food and nutrition has always been at the heart of her passions. Michaela is competent in understanding school’s requirements to be able to serve their diverse communities and meet with the requirements of the current Food and Nutrition Curriculum. Apple of my Eye is a realisation of a lifelong dream to get children and adults involved in the excitement and fun of the world of food.
Administration and School Bookings Co-ordinator
Mat realised his enjoyment and passion towards cooking and nutrition after working as a cook for Wirral Borough Council. His initial role within the council was a catering assistant and because of his attitude and skills he soon gained employment in a school preparing food and cooking meals for over 200 children.
After working with the council some years, Mat decided to change his kitchen whites for a school uniform. He has worked as a teaching assistant for Liverpool City Council since 2014. With the knowledge of how children learn and the skills he acquired in his previous role, Mat understands the importance of a healthy lifestyle, good quality food, the hygiene required for preparing foods and most importantly making these sessions fun and educational for the children in an interactive and engaging way.
Mat now maps across his skills and experience to efficiently assist with the administration of bookings and events for the company. He is passionate about offering excellent customer service and delivering your needs as an educational setting.
